Lotus Karts are now in Australia. West Australian Lloyd Bilick is the Australian distributor for the black machines via his Kommitted Motorsport organisation. The karts made their Aussie debut at the weekend's Carnival of Karts meeting at Cockburn, taking a strong one-two in Sportsman 125 Heavy with Brad Fitch and Bilick.

As revealed in the Daily News last month, Lotus Racing Karts are now in Australia. WA karters Lloyd Bilick and Brad Collins new venture, Kommitted Motorsport, is the official Australian distributor for the black and gold machines.

While new to the karting ranks, Lotus has a long history in world motorsport and is involved in various categories around the world, including, obviously, Formula One.

Locally, Lotus debuted at the recent Carnival of Karts meeting at Cockburn, WA. Brad Fitch and Bilick destroyed the opposition in the Sportsman 125 Heavy class, taking a commanding one-two. Sportsman 125 Heavy also had an excellent field of 19 karts with some of the top guns coming out to race in the big event. Australia number 2 Brad Fitch was always going to be the man to beat and along with Lloyd Bilick gave the new Lotus Karts Team a one-two finish to start their campaign in WA. Matt Davis came back in the final to take an excellent 3rd place.

In addition to importing and distributing Lotus karts and parts, Kommitted Motorsport is a trackside karting business that also stock of spare parts. Driver tuition is also offered by Lloyd Bilick.
